A car that old could have anything done to it. Its a total free-for-all with speculation of whats under the hood. Think Datsun 510 and the possibilities.

If it has a 22r then you are in for some fun. Not only is it common to see 200hp n/a but those motors are just plain bad ass. The parts are every where for any need. I had a buddy in high school who had a 72 toyota truck that had a 22r modded. Some thing like a 300 dur cam and 3 inch exhaust. In my life I have never been in 4 cyl powered vehicle that threw me back into the seat so hard and kept me there till 8k rpm until that dam truck. Any way the list is endless and searching for engine parts suppliers would be a good starting point.

Actually the guy is my little brother's buddy from school. All he said was he had a skunk2 manifold on the way on his 73 all-trac. ive seen it around a few times. It sounds clean, but Ive also smoked a nice looking one before in my civic. keep in mind that my friend has a ion redline (supercharged). His ion can barely smoke an srt-4 stock. the thing is he probably thought it is just a regular ion, because he sounds very confident in winning the race.

Not without some drastic cutting. The supra motors are all a good size like 2.8-3.2(i believe) and they are real long. Again just look at the valve cover and read the number if its a 22r there are alot of things you can do to make power.
Here is some info about old skool toyotas hope it gives you some ideas!
