yea,i wont be the first person to tell u this but you will get absolutely no power at all, maybe even a decrease in power with just a muffler, and sound wise, it will sound like crap, you will be a total ricer and i think i speak for everyone on this forum when i say that, and if you do just get a muffler, get the shop that u buy it from to make u custom piping from the cat to the muffler, then you may get some power, usually exhausts dont get that much power wise on our cars, but it will feel more responsive with a cat back than a muffler

Ide beg to differ on that. I put an muffler on with a little wider pipe, and actually gained power doing so, since really the stock exsaust system is already half way decent. As long as you keep the resinator, you can pick up 1 or 2 hp. not to much but it help me pull my first 16.5 on the track, with just that and an CIA. Then threw some headers on there 15.8. Got all my track reciptes to prove it, along with all the recipets of what i bought for my car. It honestly didnt sound rice, didnt look rice, the only person who knew i didnt have a cat back was me. In fact if you need one thats already fabed up to a civic fram i got one now. Cause i just put a new apexi worl on mine.

and yes, i believe you would get power with a wider pipe, but i thought he was talking about stock pipe and throw a muffler on there

not trying to be an a**hole but i knew everyone besides k20txem2 would say that you should save up money for a cat back and that you wont get any power from a muffler, and the HKS hi-power is a rear section(axle back) exhaust, not full exhaust, and at least it has some after market piping, which may result in a lil bit of power

dude, lol, i know how it was to be a newbie(new person the the forum) but i knew what a ricer(person who talks about their car n says its fast when its not, says it has more stuff then it does, puts stickers such as NOS on their car when they dont have it, does stuff like putting a huge aluminium wing on a fwd car, etc..stupid stuff) was before i got on this forum, cuz thers alot of them around my city, um for mustangs and comaros, and even for non-riced out civics and other imports they ARE a snack on the street/track
