Pour out some liquor for us OGs who still type 7thgencivic.com, you will be missed...
You guys should check out the mazdaspeed 6 though. Its to drool for, 274hp, with LSD and full time AWD. I also like the 18's, only bad thing is that it doesn't come with HIDS which i think is strange since you can get them on the 3. The sti's probably still faster, but the 6 looks hell of a lot better.
Mazda 6 is about the same price as the Accord, drive one of thsoe, they are nice, I had an '04 EX 4 cylinder sedan for about 4 months and it was great car.
i like the looks of the mazda 6 sedan better then the accord sedan. Honestly, i think the sedan looks almost as ugly as a wrx.
True, I agree the Mazda looks better, do yourself a favor and drive both. If you can take the Accord home for a day (some dealers will let you do that), the little detials inside and just the general fit and finish of the Accord make it such a nice car IMO.
the new si is only in 2dr. He wants a 4dr. I would also suggest considering a used is300, you get 4dr a nice combo of speed and luxury, plus you can do the supra tranny swap and turbo that thing to like 500hp on stock internals.

Really, you should be test driving the cars and avoiding what the salesman has to say. Test drive the cars to get an overall feel of what major option you want to dominate. Wether it be horsepower, fuel economy, price, etc. So, if you're looking for speed with alittle economy, well, honda might not be the answer. However, if you are looking for fuel economy with a tad of style and more so price, well look no further. Each car offering different feels and options. The only way to know for sure is to test them first hand. What people say about a car is not what you get alot of the time, it's just an opinion subject and likely to change.Everyone has one, including the salesman. I usually make it a point to ignore what they say. When i purchased my honda civic, i found that Most of what they say that contains truth, could be found at an online website or a brochure, hahah. The key is to filter out the BS from the real talk (90% one way , 10 percent the other). With that advise in mind, I will advise you that the mazda 6 has a very very nice interior and overall value, if you have the cash. it offers more sport than any honda sedan with more power but with a heavier price tag. personally it looks better than the honda line of sedans (accord and civic) just because it holds more aggressive stance and has a very reinforced feel to it. however the turning radius is something i am not fond of. neither is the fuel economy (for 2005, 23 city and 31 highway) as compared to hondas 2005 fuel economy of 32 city, 38 highway (for the 2005 civic LX) but we can't all drive a honda! the choice is up to you but thats what i know.
BTW, my opinion is based on the fact that I've 7th gen civic's, an '04 Accord sedan and had a Mazda 6 for about 5 days. The Mazda just turned me off once you get past the nice exterior, so my point is don't buy car just because it looks nice on the out side, after all you will see the inside far more than the outside.
Hey how much is the A-Spec package on the TL? Pics or links? I cant afford one till im out of college but I am curious! Is there one for tsx since thats sportier?
well the reason i;m asking is i'm like my car(01 ex) but i want someting bigger. i owe 8.8k on my civic now. i plan on goin to UTI in houston,tx (30 minutes drive from wherei live) and i want something new becuase i having problem with my civic i have now. Plus i probally be selling cars for honda in rosenberg anyway so........................

The MS6 is nice, but the car weighs too much and it's not full time AWD. It's a FWD biased AWD system...I believe it was 80:20. I also have a problem with the intercooler Mazda decided to use. It's a top mounted intercooler, yet they took away the top mount flowing hood they had on the original concept.
Don't get me wrong, it's gonna be a great car, but it's not the car you think it will be. This is aimed at the legacy, audi crowd, and BMW drivers.

WTF? If that's true, they are asking for a massive loss on warranties (agian). Why in the world would anybody do that? Why both with the intercooler at all?
If that's true, I wouldn't even touch that car. Their just asking for the motor to over heat. Next time I'm up at the by the Mazda dealler I'm going to check this out.
