another thing, what is running lean? people say that turbo make your car run lean. does it mean that the car runs lean to the side, like an allignment problem?
Friends, most agree, the civic si concept ROCKS. No questions ask. The car looks good, and for the looks, is fun to drive. But we have to wait until the final production is ready to see if the bucks appear from tin air. I like Honda. The 5 door specs is agreessive, if the news about the engine is true, and only comes in 5 door, i will take it. Remember is we can combine a kick ass engine, with a 5 door sedan, i will take the sedan. Since the 1998, VTI 4 door is missing.
It's on Honda of Japan's website. I don't know if this is a repost this thread has nothing but the 8th gen Si...at first i thought it was a Nissan Murano then i saw the little civic plate in front
*EDIT* Damnit i just saw the last two pages...oh well i feel like an idiot.

Honda seems to like to stay away from forced induction anything, i dont know why, maybe too many warranty issues, turbo's and supercharges are definatly harder on the engine, or it could be that since released in the 70's as an economical car, people are always going to look at it like that, except for the handful of people like us who by choice or hand-me-down got blessed with a civic then began to modify it. I guess my point is, the honda s2000 is honda's "sports coupe / roadster" blah blah whatever, to make a stock civic that competes or smokes its ass would be a stupid marketing ploy on honda's part. It has happened before in the past, anyone remember the Buick Grand National? GM Made a car that was faster than their own corvette, what sense did that make?? Sure it was a cool car, and people loved them, but what about the poor corvette owners?? Please correct me if i've been misinformed, but I more than anyone would love for them to make a civic that could compete with the evo or sti or something like that, but i doubt it will ever be close to a reality, the only way i could see it happening, is if they gave the s2000 a good steroid injection or discontinued it then sure they might, but they'd be shooting themselves in the foot to take the civic in the direction that we all want to see it go. I still love my car tho!
Actually Honda has a good amount of Turbo cars... just not in the USA. I've seen a a few around here in Japan... and oh, The Grand National came out in the ONLY year the Corvette was not made....

This car is the new eurocivic. I find this car in a add on January. It has 5 door. COOL. I have a meeting this a honda dealer to find more information about if i can buy this car or the two door. I will keep it post it about it. Here is the add that i find.
do you guys remember this accord concept honda released... Its similar to the civic in terms of the spoiler, wheels, roof and so on. So you guys can make out what the civic will ACTUALLY look like without the steroids.
Anybody have any idea on the release date on the SI? I know that the 8th gen should be realeased sometime in august or so since somebdy mentioned they were going into production in canada right now.. and was wondering how much longer i should wait for a new ride.... a used rsx type s is lookin real good for my situation right now...grrrrr lol
Don't know if its been covered (don't feel like reading 48 pages) but according to TOV the DX and LX will get a new R18 1.8 SOHC producing 140-150 HP and the EX will get a R20 2.0 SOHC making about 160 HP.
