You will not get 15,000 for the simple fact that kelly's says 12,500. Your better off putting the car back to stock and parting out the upgrades. Nobody cares how much you spent on upgrades. There will be more buyers looking for a stock civic as opposed to a modified one. Don't plan on selling it on ebay either. People look on ebay for good deals. Nobody is going to want to spend kbb value on a car that they have to worry about having shipped and buy un-seen. Ebay is not the best way to sell a car, sorry to say.

unless you're looking to sell fast for less. though you'll probably get more than the dealer will give you for a trade-in.

First, I would really think about how much you would take to ensure a quick sale. I.e. how much cash would you take right away to close the deal. Realize that after all is said and done, in a few months you would have wished to get the cash fast and walk away. Hopefully your loan payoff is close to the amount of KBB. If it is higher, meaning you are upside down, you might just want to wait.

It is true that a stock or near stock Civic will sell much faster. While it is true that eventually you may find a buyer who has the same taste as you, it may take a long time. It really depends on how fast you want that new Mini.

You could sell the amps and woofers, but you need a stereo in the car. If you have the stock body pieces you could also sell those.

I'd put the stock parts back on if I had them. And sell the aftermarket parts separely.

no way, return it to stock and go to carmax (I got a REALLY good deal with my old Blazer b/c it was in immaculate shape), or better yet, find a rich high school kid with stupid parents, you could probably get 25K

your best bet would to put out the aftermarket and slap the stock parts back on. it may take time but its well worth it. you think the mods you done to it are great and look fine but every has own opinions. someone would say it looks like ass and automatically not read on. the only audience your attracting with that right now are kids and young adults(age 20 and under). and we know ppl at that age are in school and dont have money. im pretty sure someones dad or mom wont even take a second look at your car.

if you dont have stock pieces, trade them for your aftermarket +cash.

Hmm, I don't know if anyone else notices, but somehow this car has roll down windows and no tach. Isn't this a DX?

Anywho, just part out your car if you still have the original stuff. 15k for an 03 with 23k miles and it isn't paid off - I really don't know about that.

My near stock DX 02 with 16k mi. can barely fetch 8.5k and it's paid off already.

HX has a lean burn engine that gets better gas milage compared to the other civics, thats the difference. Anyways your auction post seems ok, might want to check the spelling some words. And by the way, like everyone said, youre asking for too much for the car. People usually dont even want to play the kbb price, so good luck in selling.

15,000 is more than what i paid for my car NEW

I agree with the above comments about the price being too high

Just cause you have alot of modifications doesn't mean it will make the price go up....best thing to do is to sell all of those things seperate

The HX also has a CVT transmission. A CVT is an automatic transmission that can select any desired drive ratio within its operating range. Unlike a traditional three-, four- or five-speed automatic transmission, the CVT is an "infinite speed" transmission. It continually selects an optimum overall drive ratio between engine and drive wheels for all operating conditions, whether accelerating or cruising. Unlike conventional automatics, there are no perceptible shifts. During maximum acceleration, the drive ratio is adjusted to maintain peak engine horsepower. At a constant vehicle speed, the ratio is set to maintain an optimum balance of fuel economy and driveability. One big advantage a CVT has over a conventional automatic is that it lacks a torque converter and therefore is more efficient at transferring the engine's power to the front wheels.

^ it works extremely well. BoostedZexCivic or something like that had a 55 shot running through his car....with a full turbo kit....on an automatic (CVT), and ran at 9 psi. His tranny is still holding up...and he abused the hell out of it.

Hey, I was just asking a question. Now my DX does have air conditioning. Looking at the DX resource site, the HX has power locks and power mirrors. I guess it didn't mention power windows.

http://www.sceniccityonline.com/arti...elcomparo.html

Now you didn't have to go so far as to call me an idiot and a "biotch" when you can't even spell you juvenile. You're still thinking your modifications boost the value of your car when people are buying a new model for the same price new.

You think people have the same taste as you when it comes to mods so it saves them money?

You're calling me the idiot now?

if that link is accurate then i appologise. i just know that when i was sold that car they dealership told me the only difference between the 2 cars was airconditioning and a tape deck. i know that i dont have power options thats why i want to sell the car and i know that i dont have a tach. when you list a car on ebay you have to input the vin #. when i input the vin # a list of potential vehciles associated with that vin popped up. the only 3 cars on there were civic 2 civic HX's and also a few honda elements. they said that those were the only possibillities for that vin # so i beleived i had an HX. o well. appologies for calling you a biotch. and yes i meant to spell it like that. and im no juvenile. maybe younger than you but im 21. later on doods... buy my car freak!
