well say what u will...I spoke to the guys...and Im expecting to see a 200 hp option...I guess I would be in the same boat as some if u guys, if some dude just posted this on the net too
Has Honda ever balistically increased HP before in North America? Maybe we will have access the some of the european engines tuned for our our fuel. Anyhow a 200hp honda should have a nice price tag. Ever seen how much a civic type R costs in the UK 16,250 British pounds wich is practically 29,700 USD. Whose gonna pay that much for a civic?
Not gonna happen. Doing that would rob Honda of sales from its RSX. Honda's marketing of the civic has always been fuel economy and reliability, not boy-racer-sporty coupe. That title is taken by the RSX.
Thanks... well, with that kind of milleage, I doubt Honda will put that into a base model or econobox Civic.... that would put them behind in milleage but ahead in speed... but most ppl that buy the Civic dont need speed.

It would be cool if Honda let all these racey type cars come out, but I think they wouldn't make any money on them. I think they should still come out with some racier models like they do in Europe, otherwise they risk loosing the brand loyalty from hardcore enthusiasts like us. Though we aren't many we are still an important group of people. We are providing with indispensable priceless marketing (its free!!!).
I really doubt they will bump up the civic with that much HP. Maybe the Si, but even that is unlikely. The regular civics are meant for economy buyers. That's why the car sells so well. Since it is the next gen, maybe it will have a 1.8L engine and some other extras. They already have faster cars like the Si and rsx. They won't suddenly bump a civic to 200hp. I doubt anyone would even buy that after the price goes way up.

Jobs wanted in boulder or louisville colorado.
PM me if you know companies that are hiring.
like the others said, honda will probably boost the hp a little, but not by much. The civic will also become a slightly more premium car, since honda is planning to introduce the Fit/Jazz to the US next fall as their new small car. The Fit will definiately push the bar up for the civic.
