Just little story so read and have fun. So I take my friend to the race track for event. She never been before and is a real noobie when it come to car talk. So on the drive in she goes this is a civic EX right? I tell her yes and then ask why do you ask. She say oh well you have vtec that must be kickass. Then I asked her where did u get that from. She tell me her friend told her this guy whomever it was. So I have to explain to her that vtec is nothing specail and to tell her friend to go find something else to do besides talk about cars. This is the second time this week I have heard someone talk about vtec as this great thing. Can we do somethign to these youngin to teach them a lesson.

I dont know I mean I love to milk it when people think vtec is like a turbo. If someone has the notion you have a fast car just smile. Dont go on about it, but at my high school they think my Vtec is something "beastly" as one kid says (hes cool tho) and I just smile and never actually say no or yes I just let them do the thinking.
V-TEC is the shit without that our cars would only have as much horsepower as a 3 cylinder Metro. Ahhh I love V-TEC it is the shit...LMAO. I have also heard this so many times I can't help but laugh in their faces.

vtec isnt that great if you have a stock engine. but when you have more HP i.e. Turbo you can really feel it. my vtec kicks almost as much as when my turbo kicks.

I think something is wrong with your car. Most turbos spool up around 3k and guess what our vtec engages at 3k. Where do you get the turbo kit and then later a vtec kick. If you say VAFC2 then you have not dynod your car. With vafc2 you will have a big did in the power band if you change the engagement point. So when it does kick in you feel a kick to were the power should have been if you would have left it alone. The ECU does notlike the vtec engagement to be messed with. We do not have dual cam vtec. Just leave it alone. BTW I have a cam and pnp head and the only thing I can feel is topend pool from the cam after 5k. VTEC and boost are at the same time.
