Question Old or New?

My friend thinks that his 91 civic hatchback SI (no mods) will beat the 05 Civic that I am getting, what do you think? Also what do ya think of the 05 civic vs. older models?

Well I have yet to decide I guse I will go EX I want the best, right now I have a POS 95 pathfinder, but parents promising to buy new car of my choice if I get 3.5 GPA in college, so I will go with the best, and then I will start moding, so I will leave him in dust, though what do you think of the 05 versus older models, I have been told that 98 is better...I dunno...but I think since they are buying I wanna go with new...by the way where is a good site to look at body kits, cause I dont wanna get ripped and buy a POS BK that will break the first time it scrapes...

well I've never raced or heard from anyone which is faster, so i really dont know, but the new ones have more power.. are your parents willing to buy you just a civic or would they offer an RSX-S? search (this site's feature) and see if anyone has posted comments about body kits, or try wingswest.com (its the only one i've heard talked about a lot and am firmiliar with but if i recall they dont have that great of a selection) if it was me, i'd search google or something for body kits then make a post asking about peoples opinions.

well I doubt they would pay for something much more than a civic, and frankly I like civic over my POS pathfinder...by the way whats the best 05 civic? oh and since we are on the subject could I also beat my friends 03 jetta, and my other friends 03 4 door accord....

What engine in the Jetta? Right off the bat you will lose to the Accord, even in 4 cyl/automatic form. If the Jetta is a 1.8T or VR6, you will lose. If it's a 2.0, you'll win. I wouldn't buy a Civic (other than a 99/00 Si) to race anyone - you'll be sorely disappointed.

really....its just my parents are going to buy be a new car...I dont want to really have to deal with the hassle of getting a used car...not knowing what could be wrong with it...but the jetta I am not worried about the driver probly wont race, and he drives horribly...but the accord...he is a pretty good driver, though when he first started driving about 1 year ago I beat him in a pathfinder....that was a sad day....but if you dont suggest civic, even if I mod....what new car about the same price as the civic would you buy?
