No it's not playing mp3 that's why I decided to replace it with something more practical ... Alpine i.e. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

I changed the head unit in my 05 to Alpine and it is totally worth it. The sound is so much more cleaner and I have not even had the time to switch the rear speakers yet (another thread on that later). As an aside, this is the advantage over the new CSX where the head unit is part of an entire mold and unless the Acura/Apple partnership has come through for the CSX, there is no direct connect for the ipod.

ok this is going to sound like a stupid question...but i really dont know that much about my civic, let alone hondas in general.

since the EL is a sedan, i was wondering if it was possible to swap out an '03 Civic Coupe front end for an EL front end? im not sure if there are differences in the front end under-lying structure from coupe to sedan or not.

if it is possible, is it a direct bolt up?

thanks in advance y'all.

^^Did you even read the writeup? It's right there in the first post, there's no need to copy it again into the same thread.

well i re-read the post again, but it says nothing of swapping out Civic Coupe parts for EL Sedan parts. it just says

"The EM and ES Civics can just as easily bolt on a 1.7EL front end, using the same parts listed above. EL’s and Civics of equivalent years share the same doors and rear fenders."

to me, this means that it will work for a sedan to sedan conversion since the EL is a sedan. like i had said above, i dont know much about hondas, let alone the civic. this car is a brand new entity to me. heck, i have no idea what you mean when you said "EM and ES Civics"!!!! (what are they btw?) sorry for being such a newbie.
