My mom has a Model-A... and it can do 100 easy, thanks to the Chevy 327 in it...

Autocross: Because Life is more fun on three wheels......

"I know Solo only comes one minute at a time, but what an intense, non-stop, fast-forward car control exercise minute it is. Sure, the velocity is higher in road racing, but inside the car it is slow-motion in comparison. In Solo, the turns come like machine-gun rounds. "

I'm gonna bring this post back from the dead and then put the final nail in the coffin lid.

2001 Civic LX Coupe, 1487cc, "all motor"
Speed after 2 miles from a standing start = 144 mph
Speed after 2.25 miles from a standing start = 147 mph
Speed after 3 miles from a standing start = 153 mph
Average speed for the entire 3rd mile = 148 mph (this is the official speed)

2001 Civic LX Coupe, 1487cc with 100 shot nitrous
Speed after 2 miles from a standing start = 143 mph (then I hit the nitrous)
Speed after 2.25 miles from a standing start = 155 mph
Speed after 3 miles from a standing start = 168 mph << ohh baby!
Average speed for the entire 3rd mile = 159 mph

Want proof? go to http://www.scta-bni.org and look at 2004 bonneville runs
http://www.scta-bni.org/Bonneville/S...results_15.htm

Car number 529 H/FALT
Car number 5291 H/GALT (official Bonneville record holder @ 148 mph)

same car just different numbers because I was running in 2 classes.

And btw, my factory speedo was 20mph off at 130 mph on a chassis dyno. Better to go by RPM and gear ratios.

skillwill has a little shameless behaviour in the past
120 this weekend with new intake. The sound made me do it when I first heard the real grawl of my vtech and felt the pull from 3rd gear and beyond
