There is no DX anymore. The new 04 DX is now called the Civic VP(Value Package). Nice and gay huh?

so what your getting at is that they are both slow anyways? i guess the VTEC doesnt do much for the car eh? well then how about the different features that the EX provides other than mechanical peformance?

The EX is faster. But not to any great extent. I have yet to lose to an LX or DX at the track. Plus if you get an EX you can get a VAFC II and play around with your vtec engagement levels.

what color do u plan to get?

ex has same colored mirrors

lx, well, doesnt.

but if you are getting black, it doesnt matter because any color in an lx will come w/black mirrors. ie I have a black LX, and the mirrors are black. but had i gotten a red LX, the mirrors wouldnt be red, they'd be black.

um what else... i believe the ex is equipped w/ a moonroof. thats why i didnt get an ex because i didnt want a moonroof. just asking for trouble if it might leak.

i say get the lx. i have never regretted it.

Basic run down...
EX: ABS, Alloy wheels, body colored trim and mirrors, Moonroof, 127hp w/ VTEC
LX: No ABS, Steel Wheels with hubcaps, no body colored mirrors, 117 hp/without VTEC

I have driven both the LX and EX, and the extra power from the VTEC really helps on such a small engine,

Compare the price difference and decide if you want things like ABS, Moonroof, Alloy wheels, and VTEC.

I have an EX.

Another thing, don't worry about the moonroof leaking, my family has owned Hondas equiped with them for years, and we have never had a problem them.

lx doesn't have the following like the ex

stock header
sunroof
vtec
more H.P.
A.B.S. system
rear anti-swaybar
side airbags
color matched door handles and mirrors

steel or alloy wheels are an option.

GET THE EX, don't make the mistake I did!

I wish the EX didnt have ABS I had a 2001 LX and my wife had a 2002 EX both sedans. My steering was much more responsive than hers. The VTEC doesnt kick it till high in the RPMs any way.And you get only a slight increase in HP not because of the VTEC,but notice how the EX has a higher comprssion ratio. But Her's wasnt faster than mine it just had a very slight edge in the take off.But arg I hate driving hers with ABS every time it kicked in it just sucked! I much prefer not having it but thats just me.And the whole moon rood is on EX and the colored trim, but now on teh 2004 model the EX and LX have colored trim pieces.
