im in the used car market now and was interested in the 92-95 civic. i was thinking the ex trim. i was also looking at the si. but when i look on autotrader for the model info, the power hp/torque wise are the same for both. even gas mileage and basically everything else except for the bodystyle. can someone tell me the difference between the civic ex and the si in the 92-95 civic? its seems the si is so overpriced when compared to the ex coupe when they put out the same power. thanks.

nope autotrader is right. For the 5gen civics, the Si is essentially a civic EX in a hatchback package. It is the 6th gen that the Si is a coupe and it has the B series motor.
i found a 93 civic ex coupe 5 spd for 3500. does the price sound good? it has about 123k mi on it. it looks pretty clean. havent driven it. but assuming it drives well, is 3500 a good price? just wanted your guy's opinion. thanks.

If car has no rust on body. or any major problem. That price is reasonable.
I want to buy 5thgen hatch.
i was just planning to use the car as a commuter car so im not planning on doing any swaps...until the engine dies out. thats why i just want the ex. as for the mr2 turbo, everyone wants one, but they are so over priced! damn my friend found one for 4gz forgot how many miles on it though. but thats a hell of a buy.
you just gotta know hwat your plan is for the car, if you want to modify it a lot, definately get a hatch for a 5thgen, even if you arent planning on doing anything to it till the current engine "dies"
if its just a commuter car, then go for the ex hands down
