Has there ever been a national meet. If not we should have one. That way members from all over the US could join including members from Jersey n Cali n Miami

I say go for it too. about 2 months in advance so everyone can get the day(s) off of work and school. Not everyone has to take there civic either. Alot of people could carpool. Rent like a big ass cabin somewhere and have a big party.
2 months in advance? LOL dude...the planning committee for the mid-atlantic meet planned that thing for a whole year!! doing one nationwide would have to be planned WAAAAAAAAAAAY in advance.
its a nice thought, but it would never work. for one, where would you meet so that its easy for everyone to get to, and fun enough for everyone to enjoy being there? but props to you if you wanna organize it.
I think it would be tyte as well, and yes kinda hard to put together. As for not bringing the Vic, I think if you roll, you roll with your Vic, that would be soooo tyyyte to see a whole bunch of 7thgens at one spot, and I'm not talkin about 20-30 7thgens, I'm talkin like 100 or more you know. That would be so daim crazy!

If you build they will come!!! Muhahaha. Trust me it isn't easy. I was one of the planners for the Mid Atlantic meet this year. We had almost 50 civic, not to mention other cars. I really don't think there is enough loyalty right now. cars that are rare usually have a better time planning meets, like supras, crx, older domestics, ITRs, etc. Try and find another national car meet, email the organizers to find out what to do, then go from there.

wow. lol "so everyone can get a day off" ?? lol if I'm driving to the middle states from jersey, I'd probably want 3 maybe even 4 days off. I wouldn't mind driving that far though! As long as it's not all the way in Utah or Colorado... make it fair!
i agree with rob. if you really are interested in doing this, talk to whoever organizes the VW waterfest. that thing is crazy every year, and its always a HUGE turnout. the reason i give that example is cause the vw's arent as rare as supras or crx's or like WRX's...so you can find out how they draw people in when the cars arent rare.
the other thing is that the 7thGen is a single generation of civics, other national meets open it up to models of cars if not a whole brand. so getting the huge numbers from just one gen of a model would be tough.
if youre doing it, you might want to set the place as somewhere that everyone can find...like dysneyworld/land or a stadium (giants) or a convention center (jacob javitz) just for some ideas...itll give people to go someplace they might want to go anyway, but this way they can also go to a civ meet.
id soooo be down for a meet if it were west of the mississippi. get a bunch of your local guys and you could all drive there together and have a sort of mini-meet all the way there. I think it would be awesome to have a road trip of 10-15 vics all the way to the big meet. 7th gen road trip to the meet
and i agree with Pbfoot, open the event up to say all honda's and acuras... all cars are welcome, but just advertise the meet on all the honda/acura sites and see what kinda turnout we could get.
Just like Rob said, planning these things takes a GREAT amount of time. We planed the mid-atlantic meet a YEAR in advance. If you are going to do this, you need to get a place large enough, sponsors, other clubs/sites/teams invovled, make hotel arrangements, plan activities and find some place that will cook for you (otherwise, the food situation would be out of hand.) There is so much to do, it takes A TON of time and effort.

I'd be down, the roadtrip there would be half the fun, I'm in PA, but I'd say Iowa would be a central meeting place for something like this, haven't really been to Iowa so I have no idea what there is to do there, geographically though, its a pretty good center either that or Kansas
hey Im in Iowa and I think iowas a great spot!!! haha!
one thing I can think of right off is that all the big parking lots are like private property so the poliece would/might chase us away??? i dunno, im sure somthing could be arranged.
if it was held here in the des moines area (des moines/urbandale/clive/johnston/windsor heights) I would def want to help plan it
hell yea!!! midwest.. that way.. all the ppl on the coast can drive in our nice and STRAIGHT highways... but seriously.. that would cut the travel down for the extreme guys... oh.. the MN/WI meet is next week if you guys are interested.. check my sig for details...

if we're talking a national meet it would have to be in the central US, because no one from cali is gonna wanna drive all the way across the US to accommodate the east coast
BTW Iowa is technically up from Texas... but thats ok
I guess Iowa is flat compared to mountain/foot hill areas like Denver, but it has what people call 'rolling hills'. neberaska is flat IMO wind rips thru there like to other
