Take all the aftermarket stuff off your car, and sell those on the forum. It will be easier to sell your car in stock form and you should be able to get around 10-11k for it.

put your car on ebay. you should be able to sell your car around 10k. stock
don't get the C230, for the sameprice you can get a BMW 3 series or an A4 for less money or a Jag X-type for less money or even an IS 300 for less money ... also look at the Caddy CTS, Volvo S40 or C70, also you HAVE to look at the G35 sedan and coupe they are bad ass
all for around the same if not less then the Benz C230
im gettin a red 2003 benz c230 kompressor. its a sweet car fast as hell too. factory 8 spoke 17's blue tint glass supercharged 4 cylinder sport sedan NOT the ugly Coupe

if people are willing to pay 10k when would not they spend 2k more to get a new one. I don'k think i will take the aftermarket stuffs out, i will have holes on the trunk. it cost alot to be fixed. take out the springs and replace with stock will cost another 100 dollar.

fast as hell?? not meaning to flame but a c230 kompressor is a mid to high 15 second car. the AMG cars are fast. the c230 kompressor is a car that even most civics can keep up with basic bolt ons.
The C230 is a terrible car, unless you want to be spending a ton of money on repairs, then dont get it. Its not a very well built car compared to all other Benz's. My dad has a C240 loaded and he got it for 37Gs, for that he could have gotten such a sweeter car, with a lot more power (the 240 has a 168 hp V6).
Looks like not many C230 lovers on this board....I didnt realize that the C230 got so many bad reviews....I actually heard from someone else that is a big merscedes fan....and he told me the same thing...That the C230 has alot of issues and if your in the market to buy a car like that, to stay away from the benz.
I would agree with everyone else...I would get the G35....If you want a sedan or a coupe, its hot car, that has enough horsepower, and it drives smooth. I would get the coupe, but it depends on what you need it for.
The kompressor series suck. I was just checking their site today. C230 kompressor puts out what.. 200/200 hp/lbs roughly? And costs how much? I don't care about presitge, but there's just as much prestige to drive a CL-s or a G35c or a BMW 330ci with more hp/torq for a lower if not even price.
If you have $50k plus to spend/finance, get a REAL C series Mercedes, the C32!!! to that car!!! As for the C230 sedan, eh, it's alright, but there are plenty faster and more reliable sedans out there for less $. Plus, the commercial for the C230 is lame, the car is running away from helicopters and chase cars because it's soooo fast. lease:

YEA! lets go buy a car BASED on its commercial! comon' everybody...
the new 3 series are all that I work at bmw over here so i would know but if your looking into a 3 series don't get a 320 or 325 anything higher wouldn't be that bad. the c230 is a nice car I like the look don't know about reliability and what not, haven't really heard any good or bad.
I heard with M/B don't get the C-class or M-class because of numerous reliability issues. Also, the older E-class was poor too. Even my uncle's $90k 2001 S-class has had its share of problems.
do not get the c230. my friend owned one and 6 months later the whole tranny fell out on the highway and MB refused to pay it because they said he was racing

If you want a car with a prestigious name, get the C230. It's power is decent with its supercharged inline 4 but compared to it's competitors such as the BMW 3 series, G35, IS300, and Audi A4, the car is underpowered. IMO the G35 outperforms all of these cars with its reasonable price and performance.
