Its when the tires spin a little when you put it into 2nd because the revs are still high, and your dropping the clutch to get it into gear faster. So there for the tires try to catch up to the engine so they spin and make a lil chirp.

Haha VTEC is nothing in our cars. You cannot even feel it in the manual. Either way the car is still slow, that is why I upgraded to another 5 speed (04 WRX).
i luv my auto, and i will argue for it. Yeah manuals are fun but in the long run i think that an auto is better for me. For me! not for everyone else but yeah imo i love em. Middle of the road would be my fav tho, slapstick hehe.

autos suck i was so pissed i didnt get it on my first car cause my mom then second was a surprise which was auto and then i sold it and told my mom im buying a stick and its the vic. manual here. its so much more fun id get a stick on any car over an auto
but when i think about it, my car is really heavy with 18's, huge box, amp, etc... im not really looking to race it anyway
the only downside i see is that you loose a bit of speed.. 1/4 mile times are about a second longer
but big deal, im a lazy ass.. and this makes my life easier... so i dunno
if i were to get a sporty car in the future, id probably go with a sequential manual if i had the opportunity
thats not necessarily true. my friend and i went to milan dragway in michigan and did time trials. hes got a 02 5 speed manny w/ intake and exhaust , mine is 02 bont stock auto and he beat me by .2 of a second. ( 17.2 to 17.4)
