i got auto 4dr sedan, its ok, i have about 2 or 3 on a kill list, but i'm planning on converting it to a 5spd stick, do u guys know about how much it'll cost me, whats the least it'll cost me????
dude, are you trying to make ur auto look like a stick?........omg....
you must be one of those ppl that only started modding civics after 2001 (the time fast and fruious came out)
actually, i never saw that 2 fast 2 furious movie. & quite frankly, i did it cause al the luxury cars have their autos with a boot over them. that's how i roll if you don't like it. shutp up. geez.
i prefer manual just cuz of gas mileage and power to the wheels but my first car was a manual and then the next two were autos but i wished they were manuals and now i have my manny vic.

Because when you live in NYC and on some days you commute for 1hour 20 min in bumper to bumper traffic, auto reallly is the "common sense" option. So don't generalize every driver out there buddy.
Amen. I really do like manual transmission, but when I got a job downtown St Paul it simply became far too stressful for multiple reasons. Because the Twin Cities is composed of Minneapolis and St Paul, we have two large downtown areas, meaning more people are heading EITHER direction depending in which downtown they work in. I was in St Paul having to go against Minneapolis traffic. It is pure torture driving manual on the freeway in jammed up rush hour. Once downtown, parking can be a problem. I got a pass for the underground parking ramp for the building I work in, and because some people don't know how to park, sometimes the spots would be rather tight, forcing me to work on some clever maneuvering to get into my space.
Then there would be rush hour back.
It's stressful to drive stick like that... so I eventually purchased an automatic. While I miss how much fun it was to drive a manual out on the open road... day-to-day practicality forced me to purchase an automatic.
i learn how to drive in a manual too, have lots of fun, but practicality and the fact that i live in LA where everywhere u go is traffic and i drive a 4dr (btw, how fast can u drive in a 4dr) makes the decision of driving a auto would be great. btw, why argue over that ? whether it's auto or not, doesn't make u gay, manly, have common sense, or shows that u're a sissy. it's just preference.
so guys chill out, who cares whether he tries to disguise the auto as manuaL? btw, where u got that? i'm interested haha
I love my stick and I don't mind it in traffic too much because I just coast most the time. Plus I love having the power already there and ready to go....just my opinion.

When I was selling my car last July which was an 2001 Auto I put it up on AutoTrader. There were about 7 Civic from private sellers selling and 4 of them were manuals with less miles and better condition.
I got like 6 calls during the first 3 days and sold the car on the 5th.
Those manuals are still on autotrader..... the market is tiny for manual Civics so its very hard to sell them. With an auto Civic the market is huge and you can get top dollar for them.
