I heard of it mentioned in the I.C.E. forum, but I think that was something someone saw in another car. Please don't even think about doing this though. It's kinda gross IMO.
On the steering wheel? That would be pretty nuts I think...if you mean over by the climate controls, that's pretty cool, but looks like it takes a bit of fabrication to do...
Yeah, I think me means in the actual steering wheel. You rip the airbag out and you do some fiberglass and you set one up in the steering wheel. Kinda gross looking IMO. I'de rather have one in the console. Not all huge either.
Yeah, no joke. The question is: Why? Without the airbag you're going to have a higher chance of getting hurt in an accident. Add to that the fact that if an LCD screen was in your face like that it would be a major distraction when it was turned on. That and glare coming from it could blind you to things that you needed to see in order to drive safely. What's the point?

why? how can any one of you ask that question. why would someone disconect their airbags to begin with. why whould someone take off teir stock air filter and resonator and put a cai on at the risk of their engine ingesting h20. or why would someone install a wing which is so big it's like 1/2 the size of their car ( and don't give me that" its for performance" crap when civic's don't go fast enough to even need one. it's because that owner thinks it's cool. and i thought that's all that would matter. and if you saw one done correctly, you'd think it was hot too. and the airbag? some people take off their wheel c/ air bag to install the racing wheels. whats wrong c/ that?
why does anyone need a tv monitor in their car to begin c/ ? I can barely work my stereo while driving let alone watch a dvd. but its just cool to have.
