i am for sure going i plan on leaving friday morning its about 7 hours ffrom panama city according to map quest plus i think EsineN is goin to meet me in Tally on my way.

Well guys good news....I may be staying with you guys.....me and the bf are having a hard time getting a hotel......his brother was going to rent a whole floor at a hotel cause there is like 30 of us coming down....but he never called back to reserve it. So are we staying in tents or are we sleeping in our cars??? I may end up bringing the civic after all...looks like its going to be out of the paint shop by then!!!!! But it is going to be close!!!!
Ill keep you guys up to date...everyone that is going for sure put your name & cell and let everyone know that you are definately going!!!!
And we have to figure out what it is going to cost for each person per nite!!!!
Alrighty, Im gonna take my nifty digi cam with me and snap some shots of the campground, give ya feel of what it is like. How many nights are ya'll staying for? I'll go ahead and say 3, just in case, with 3 spaces.

I have a rain proof tent that sleeps 4/5 adults and is divided
on the middle.
I also have a screened tent that can sleep about 4, the only problem with this tent is if it rains you'll be SOL.
We have about 6 adults sleeping in one last summer.

I also have a friend coming that's another share of the bill.

The more the cheeper it will be.
Any contributions to the camp like coolers, charcoal, beverage, sleeping bags, firewood, food, etc. are welcome.
I'm sure that between all of us we can pull quite a set up.
Hey guys.....are we going to have some sort of meet during the day?? Just wondering cause I think it would be a good Idea so we could get some pix!!! Like maybe all of us meet up on the beach somewhere at around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Anyone thing this is a good idea??? And what do I have to do to get one of you guys to buy me a drink or two?!!
Alrighty, the Daytona Beach Campsite was packed yesterday with bikers, and I already was allowed a fifteen minute visitor pass so I couldn't snap any pics. I talked to Roxy, I got a price list in which I will write up after work (Im on break now), and the contact number is 386-760-2663, ask for Roxy. I asked what the availibility would be like for the 22-24, and that I wanted to get three lots, and she said that after bike week they are generally dead until the end of May, but they still have customers, but the lots are usually pretty vacant. Overall, they have security (bunch of arses, I was there 20 mins and the guy gave me sh!t), although they were packed it seemed like a nice, out of the way joint, just kind of low key (what do you expect for $22-24 a night), I wasn't allowed near the pool [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] and I forgot to check out the bathrooms (sorry). Each lot had picnic tables and such, and they seemed pretty tolerable to their guests (I got flashed by some raunchy drunk biker chick[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-puke.gif[/IMG] Which was pretty interesting [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] Visitors have to get a pass to get in, everyone has to check in when coming in, and I am not sure if they will allow raudiness (sp? Im at work, my brain is off right now) because it is bike week and raudiness is to be expected, but they seemed pretty cool and probably wouldn't mind some music, just not too loud. I have a brochure of the place, and the pricing sheet, and if my scanner will work I will post it up.
Out of 5 I'd give 3.5 or so.
Also, there is a new campsite on 92 just as you enter Daytona, and I plan on checking it out either tonight or Monday after my Bio Lab. w00t! I should have my rims and tires by the time of the meet.
Also, that Thursday is my B-Day! So if you want, I only accept BEER. [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]
SuperMex: You ever go up to Sonics on Fridays? A friend of mine in a 2000 white V6 Camaro is up there (his windshield says "High Soceity" Car Club), and he thinks he has seen your ride there.

My goal is to place the reservation by Friday next week.
Let's remember we only need a place to sleep and freshen up, most of the day will be spent on the beach.
I still need voluntiers to set up camp on Thursday the day before the first show.
Dale I do go to Sonics occationaly, but i don't know if I saw your friend there, but the High Society sticker sound familiar.
I have one of their trophies form a show I went to in Deltona about a year a go.

Rory, I won't be able to skip school on Thursday (I'm still not sure if I'll be able to on Friday, either, but I'll pull it off) so the earliest I could leave would be about...Between 2:30pm and 3pm. Is that cool with you? I put my requests in for work off, so that shouldn't be a problem, the only problem I see is my parents, but I'll turn them. I am 18 ya know.
Okay well chris and I were out at the beach yesterday, and checked out a couple camp sites around new smyrna off hwy 44. One says they don't have tent camping now and then the other did, the one that I think dale was talking about with $24 up to 5 ppl+ $2 extra a person. That's the one we're probably going with... it looked like a good place and the price is nice too. The woman said the max people per camp site is 10, but that would be very crowded. So with 10 people going (it'll probably be closer to 15 i'm guessing) we could get 2 camp sites and that would run at $5-$7 a person per night. I'll only be there for Saturday night I think but we probably want to get at least one spot for friday too. Not sure what the head count is on that...
This place is a little south of Daytona but it's an easy drive there on I-95 or us1. Only thing is that the girl at the counter of the camp I'm talking about said it has to be a dry camp if there's any one under 21 staying there... so we either sneak it in and hope we don't get caught or there'll be no [IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]
Oh and cruising daytona beach was great yesterday... there was a mix of spring breakers and bike week guys but there were enough half naked college girls to make it worthwhile[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/IMG]
Ok I'll need someone to meet me here in Kissimmee/Orlando to get the tents and supplys on Wednesday or Thursday before the show.
And to set up camp for that night.
I'll be working all day/night on thursday and more likely be there late that night or later on Friday after roll in.
Kids, you may be un-supervised that first night so play nice and don't get us kicked out the firsty day.
I'll post a new thread when I pay for the reservation so that we can sign up the voluntiers and the people that will camp the rest of the days.
