How safe is the 2k1 civic on a head on collision?

Well, they are relatibly safe.
I got in an accident a day before HIP show.
I hit an SUV on the side going about 55 MPH.
The air bags are well calibrated and are a life saver.
Must ware sit belts to prevent head injury!
I was wearing mine and still had a broken knee cap
Not fun.
However not having ABS in my LX prove to be catastrophic.
I skided 15ft and still hit prety hard.
This Civics are easy to fix and the aftermarket parts are usually less costly than originals.
I'm hoping to get my car back soon, better than before.
If any of you guys that experience a collition have some feedback on the matter, I'm interested.

Sorry to hear about how severe the accident was for you... I didn't know that the damage to you and the car was so bad

Anyways I got in an accident the same day you did ( going to HIN lauderdale ) and, although not driving as fast, my car had bad damage for the relatively low speed, but I barely felt anything when driving. Glad auto companies invented crumple zones for cars, they save lives.

And the body shop put in the new expensive PIAAs for me without me even asking!

I agree
My car took most of the impact.
And that is the reason that our cars look so badly damage on any kind of crash.
When they said that the new Civic was redesign, they actually are easier to repair radder than replace the car.
Insurance companies love it.
By the way, I'm having a terrible experience with my insurance DIRECT.
They suck

Any way I hope you are OK, and I'm glad to hear that your shop did good for you.
Question for every one,
How did you insurance Co. performs for you?

We finally got the parts for my car, carbon fiber hood,
new front bumper, Z3 fenders, projector lights da works
One of my sponsors All Pro Collisions in Kissimmee Fl is great at working with car nuts like me, and we are making a project out of my 2k1.
They have the computer reader that I need to twick my CPU.
Is going to be fun.
If any one is ever in need of work on your cars I highly recomend
All Pro.

I don't know bout a head on collision but a side collision isn't all that bad. Three weeks after driving my civic off the lot, I somehow lost control of the car (I think might have dozed off cause I was driving to school). Freaking out, I slammed on the brakes and then spun out into two metal poles, ripping to huge holes in the side of my brand new baby. Fortunately I wasn't injured, only shaken up, but it took three and a half weeks and quite a bit of cash to repair the damages. About two months after getting my civic back from the shop, my dad backed into it in our driveway, busting a headlight. Pretty much every Honda Car made is safe in all sorts of wrecks. If you want exact stats, buy a consumer reports magazine. Heck, that's how I got my Civ!

I've not been in a wreck, and I hope to keep it that way. I think I better buy some winter tires though, cause its supposed to snow Tomorrow. But my friend in a 85 Accord came out pretty good in her wreck with a 94 Accord. The car still runs and she drove it to school with alot of front end damage.

Man I hit an Nissan path finder on the side and bended the frame.
It was totaled.
I'll show the pic. of what my car looked like after the crash.
