Rep Power: 0 Oil Change Codes
I've had my civic for 15mos, I got my first oil change at the 11mos mark w/ 3300 miles. Oil change and tire rotation at dealership where purchase. I now have 5k miles and the oil change code B1 just showed up on my screen.
Is there a way to reset this code or do I have to go get another oil change?
Thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Next thought....some of those had weird things happen......Does your car have a touchscreen radio with wifi capability?
Is the oil change reminder showing ONLY on the radio? Not showing on the center of the tach?

No touchscreen display... reminder only center of tach. I would have thought dealer that did oil change would have reset minder, that being same dealer I purchased veh.

Re: Oil Change Codes
If it's showing 70% right now, I'm pretty sure it was reset by whomever did the service.
At 70% there should not be any reminder unless you brought up the display yourself using the steering wheel buttons (probably the small round "I" and enter buttons). Right now it's showing you what items would be due at the next service interval (B1).
The reminder comes on by itself at 15%.

Re: Oil Change Codes
I have a 2017 civic hatch lx, and when I check the reminder myself (under the wrench) it currently says 50% but there is also a number of 019 under that? Any ideas what this might be? The car is approaching 20k and it has had the first oil change earlier in the year.

Re: Oil Change Codes
I still don't have an answer on that, and I really don't have anything on canada specific info either.
t looks to be the usual location you would see the upcoming service item codes, but ours (USA) would only be able to show the characters A/B , 12345 and 7. No 0 or 9.
Doesn't your car have touchscreen radio? Pull up the maintenance minder on that unit (home>settings>vehicle, scroll to the bottom for maintenance) and see if it agrees with what the display on the gauges is telling you.

Re: Oil Change Codes
The 019 stands for;
A1 which is the oil change
and the 9 is the brake inspection, tire rotation.
I looked it up under the links you mentioned.
Thank you
Shawn
