Sorry if this has already been posted.
I keep reading different things on when you should get an oil change.
Is it every 3k miles? Every 3 months? I even read at 7,500 miles.
Also read that I should get my oil changed when the oil is at 15% on the oil maintenance display.
I am currently have 3,450 miles on my car and my oil is at 60%.
Should I get my oil changed now? Do I wait for it to hit 15%? Do I wait to reach 7,500 miles?
Thanks in advance.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Your pwners manual tells you!
The maintenance minder is a flexible system, it adjusts services based on YOUR driving habits and conditions.
When the wrench light comes on at 15% make your appointment for the oil service.
Or one year, whichever comes first.

your first oil change is very critical as the engine gets "broken in", a lot of metal shavings will build up in the oil during break in,
when i buy a new car i do the first oil change between 1,000-2,000 miles MAX regardless of what the manual says....after that go by the maintanance display reminder

I had a 8th gen Civic, 15% or one year, whatever comes first, same with 9th or 10th gen (which I have now too). 9th and 10th gen went full synthetic.
You can definitely do them earlier if you want, makes no difference, just wasting money.
Full synthetic from what I read can last 10,000-15,000 miles.
This explains synthetic in detail:

I always thought of the Maintenance Minder as nothing more than a glorified mileage counter. Can you provide me with some details of how it adjusts services? I am now curious.

I think what he was referring to was the oil life meter. That is flexible.

The minder monitors engines speeds, cold starts, and drive times. I have had intervals close to 10k miles when I was doing a lot of highway road trips. The shortest interval was about 4800 miles when my kids were driving about four miles each way to school. I change the oil when it hits 10% and have confirmed with a Blackstone oil analysis. The report shows the viscosity is still at spec and no unusual metal levels.
