me a skyline and integra. we joined an 06 civic hatch, an 08 accord, a nissan 240 and 2000 prelude, for the funest drive of my life! we went on a coastal road with a ton of s curves, hills and dips, loved it. my baby held it ground against the accord and 06 civic, handled better then the 240 and prelude. i'm not quite sure the skline was trying. there weren't many areas to gun it in the straights but when there were my civic did great getting up to speed out of the turns before the next set.

Hmm,
Actually, I found that Nik Software's HDR Efex is a LOT easier to use, and better quality
I really hated how photomatix created a bunch of noise, and wasn't exactly WYSIWYG
PM me if you guys want to try out this software, it's a plugin for photoshop
& The results are amazing

I use CS5, premier. I'm using the cinestyle technicolor profile and just recently got the Magic Bullet Looks plugin from red giant software (a Portland company) that allows you to easily change the look/mood of your footage in a billion ways. I also have a few of the other Magic Bullet plugins like LUT buddy, Colorista, and Mojo but dont use them much since I got Looks. I'm still trying to finish this damn graduation video, and the MB Looks has made it look so much better!!

Yea, color correcting involves a little more precise detailing than color grading...
Color grading you're just slapping on a bunch of colors hoping to fix the original, or to add a feel to your videos
Great tutorial tho...you shud put up some more decent tutorials I can look at.
I'm doing video production as well now...
And if I do recall, Josh (Riceboy) is getting a T3i to do HD Video as well

Nah, I'm gonna wait.. There's not enough to suck me into buying a t3i.. Although, I do like the fact there's a mic input in the t2i and up, but for now, me and my friends alleviate that by recording to my laptop or another device
I mean, my t1i shoots 1080 already, so I'm content with it. Me and my friends only shot in 720 (simply because I forgot to set it to 1080 :3), but it looked great anyways.

Heads up, I'm not sure where the T3i fits in, but the 7D and T2i have the same image sensor.. only difference is about 1,000 bucks, more iso levels, much longer shutter life and better weather sealing. If your not shooting timelapses (2,000+ pics a time) you dont need that super long shutter life.
I wish I got the 60D, but it wasnt released or announced it would be released... I'll just buy an external monitor and be happy. Seriously tho, go canon.
As for tutorials, there really isnt anything great out there. I learned how to use premier by youtube tutorials from random people, usually 5-10 of them on ONE subject since the content in them is pretty bad. OH- this guy is good: http://vimeo.com/calebpike
Here is a link to my VIMEO page, I havent posted any videos yet since I'm working on a bunch at the moment. Check out my likes, seriosuly bomb videos.

Yes, I agree, Canon is way better
But, however, I like the ergonomics of a Nikon.
The feel, the button layout, the weight.
Though I feel the Canon's image quality is far superior.
I've been shooting recently a lot with the Nikon D90 and the 18-105mm kit lens.
And I can honestly say, that it sucks ball sacks.
My buddy just got a $500 Sigma lens on his T2i, that thing is crazy sharp.

Yeah, keep in mind tho, for video lenses dont matter THAT much, the glass doesnt have to be as sharp to do 1080p video (which is like a 2mp camera shot) comparted to full RAW 18mp shots (or 21mp if you have the 1D) AND ALSO, overly sharp lenses create an effect that you may not desire. Seriously do some research and RENT the lens you want to buy before you buy it. Dropping 500 bucks on a lens is crazy if you never played with it before. I know I might have just bought the t2i body without the kit lens if I had done more research. I probably wouldnt have bought my 55-250mm lens either, and just saved what I paid on both of them on a good 18-22mm ish lens or something, I'm just throwing some MM's out there- which is totally different on the cropped sensor cameras like these, as opposed to the full frame sensor cameras like the 5dm2 and up.

True, as of right now though, we're doing modeling photography, not so much video yet
We're still playing with some audio recording software, because we have a studio set,
I think we're gonna make some music videos soon though
And then we'll invest in a 50mm lens :P

^ Keep in mind again that the "thrifty 50" that used to come standard on all 35mm cameras isnt really a 50mm on cropped sensor cameras (7D and cheaper models). You might want to go bigger with a smaller mm lens to get closer to the true 50mm look
Here is a good example: http://vimeo.com/23780966
So a 50mm lens on my t2i would be 50x1.6=80mm

Man, that lens is pretty sweet. I havent used that particular one, just the 100-400 IS lens, thats about $1700 on a good day, and its butter smooth. They are seriously sweet and you can get right up to your subject from super far away. What are you shooting with it, and what camera are you using it on?
I dont see the point of buying L series glass unless you are taking advantage of it by shooting on a full frame camera. Granted I have the "entry level" 55-250mm canon lens and its build quality and optics arent anywhere near that of the L series, plus your lens is 1.4 stops brighter than mine, and yours is constant all the way through the zoom range.
I'm happy for you tho man, def take advantage of that glass! Tons of wildlife and sports photographers use it. I met a guy that cashed out his retirement fund when he was laid off to buy a canon telephoto lens and gitzo tripod setup... not the smartest guy, but def know what can drive someone to NEED one of these awesome lenses.
I on the other hand went around camera shops today looking for the best deal on this lens:
http://usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/p...50mm_f_1_4_usm I want it for its low light performance and Bokeh. I'm planning on getting a square filter holder to attach to the front of the lens and create some awesome effects.

Has anyone had any experience with the Sony Alpha Nex series of cameras? I think they are very appealing and fine example of how technology is progressing. Take a look:

Hmm good to know I guess. I havent really heard anything bad or good or at all for that matter. Guess Ill just have to see what everyone has to say. I am a big fan of Nikon though, so maybe Ill just stick with them.

What kind of Canon are you using? You make a good point on the software. I do a lot more post production work then editing on camera.
