Exclamation D16y7

New to the the car scene and I have a 1997 Honda civic hatchback dx. I believe it has the d16y7 and that's a sohc non vtec. Ik that there is a d16y8 engine that is also sohc but it is vtec and I was told that I could take the y8's head and switch it with my y7.... I want to know if this is true? Has anyone done this ? What problems would I have ? Or any info on going about doing this would be much appreciated thanks

D16Y7s of the world unity!!

lol...anyway it's commonly refered to as a 'mini me' swap and there's tons of info on how to do it. I haven't done it myself but I can point you in the right direction....
