Rep Power: 277 Rate Your Exhaust
Ok i'm sick of the exhaust questions so let's start a thread like the clubrsx one. http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=68567
PLEASE - ONLY RATE THE EXHAUST IF YOU HAVE FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE WITH IT. Please help keep this thread the "go to" place for the important exhaust information and post questions elsewhere. REFER to the sound clips thread for obviously sound clips. If you want to search for a particular exhaust use the "search the thread" button on the top of this thread.
Fit 1 to 5: How well does it fit the car without cutting, making new hangers, etc. 1=fit like hell, all the way to, 5=fit tighter than stock without rattle.
Power 1 to 5: 1=less power than stock, 2=about the same as stock, 3=some gains, 4=very noticeable, 5=Feels like its been boosted
Loudness 1 to 5: Volume 1= Quieter than stock to 5= Loud, wakes the neighbors when you get on it.
After the name is the material: SS= Stainless Steel, PS= Stainless can only, AS= Aluminized Steel and then the pipe/tip diameter.
Also if you decide to update your review at any time just insert *UPDATE (and the date)*

*UPDATE 05/17/05*
DC5 Integra Type R muffler (same as new 05 RSX type s mufflers)
Fit - n/a this is a muffler only which i had welded to my custom catback piping
Power - 3 nice midrange
Loudness - 2 Stock with a deeper tone, just like the RSR exmag.
Great muffler that gives performance with out rice or fart cannon looks. It does have a larger tip but it still looks very clean. Also has a valve in the muffler that opens at higher rpms to increase exhaust flow.
Tanabe Tuner Medalion - SS (muffler only, custom piping)/2.25"/4"
Fit - - - - - - 4.6 (rattles in heavy rain/going through puddles/deep snow)
Power - - - - 2 (without silencer) 3.5 (with silencer on)
Loudness - - 4.5 (without silencer) 4 (with silencer on)

V-Force Muffler
Fit - - - - - - 5 Welded to the turbo, fits perfect
Power - - - - 5
Loudness - - 1
Here is a pic
Sounds like a higher end car. Sounds extremely clean, low, and somewhat quiet. Very low though. 0% rice sound to it.
Sounded like sh** before the turbo though, but fit good of course, gave like a 2 on power, and loudness is 4-5. Not anymore.
edit- Everything

Fit: 3 didn't install it.. however i hit a curb with it and it started rattling a lot, but i fixed the rubber hanger thing and its better. My friend got it for her 00si, and it didn't fit.. just to note, and apexi didn't refund her. tip is also not centered, however, most exahusts are this way
power: 2 can't really tell.. not much difference i guess, maybe loss of low end
loudness: 3.. just like stock for first two months, then gets louder. quieter then intake, can't hear it that well from the inside, but definately from the outside

Fit - 5 : I think it fits great no rattling what so ever. Rain, shine, snow anything no problems.
Power - 3 : I can slightly feel a diffrence in top end low end nothing really to much.
Loudness - 4 : I say it's pretty moderate no to loud. I know people says it has a RASPY fart can sound. I dont have that it has a nice deep tone to it. Not as deep as Tanabe.
I love this exhaust never had a problem. I would recommend it to anyone with a 7th gen.

if i had tools and an exaust id make one just to show you what im talking about..

Rep Power: 787 You know, the whole backpressure thing is annoying. I'll rate mine, but seriously thinking of putting stock back on. The only positive is looks, otherwise it feels slower than stock with just a rear section.
Thermal R&D rear section axleback SS 4" tip
Fit 4.8
Power 1
Loudness 3 (with header, it gets fairly loud and bassy)
Great looking muffler, just robs too much low end.

Fit:5(until i got my body kit, had to lower the muffler to keep it off of the bumper and now mid-section hangs very very low like 2" above the ground)
Power:2(only because the D17's don't respond to bolts ons for ****! maybe around 5-7 at the most)
loudness: 3( i prefer quieter exhausts over louder ones! nothin is worse than driving on the highway to work and having a swarm of bees following you!)
