Rep Power: 0 New Carbon Fiber Parts!
Ok, guys, Im going Tuesday to drop off some parts to get some molds made. I need some opinions and ideas from everyone to decide which parts to do first. The parts I pick will be available in fiberglass and carbon fiber within the next month or so. Probably on ebay. I want to do something different. Maybe some stuff in the engine bay, and interior. I was thinking the entire shifter console, door sills, rear speaker deck or maybe even the door panels. Possibilities are endless. Let me know what you guys would be interested in. Ive also seen carbon fiber headliners starting to be made, but of course not for our cars. Thats an idea. THIS WILL HAPPEN! Im not just wasting my time typing like some people. So let me know. But im gonna need some serious buyers interested in these parts because getting molds made is expensive, and I dont want get a mold made to produce 1 or 2 parts.

Rep Power: 0 yeah, I already have the cf spark plug wire cover. I was thinking about the fuse box cover, and I saw a battery cover that was fake CF at autozone. If that would fit our batteries I could have a mold of that made and make it in Real CF. Also thought about the OEM air box, but with most people having intakes, I think that would be a waste.

Rep Power: 485 how bout a full carbon fiber dash? i got a price on an overlay from kazell, but i wanna see how much a carbon fiber replacement would cost... my future goal is to replace all of the nasty beige with carbon fiber, black, and/or blue and a little bit of silver...

Rep Power: 0 I thought about the dash . But the finished product would be high. Theres not alot of people willing to drop about a grand on it. Door lining would be good. Only thing is we would lose the pocket. I dont think that would be a big deal though.

Rep Power: 0 This picture is to give you an idea on the door panels. These are for a 6thgen. On ours the top and the armrest will be the same, but to give you an idea what it would look like the pocket gone, here ya go. Sweet IMO.

Rep Power: 0 Remember, when I say dash, I mean the top and bottom portions, From the windshield down. You could get just the middle part, or just the top part if you wish. It wont be quite a grand. But it will be high.

Rep Power: 388 Yea, I want a headliner too, but what worries me is how will it be installed. It seems like you would have to remove the front window to slide it in.
ANyways, I want EVERYTHING that your can get in carbon fiber. I don't want any overlay bull$hit like Kazell does.

Rep Power: 306 fly...at my shop we replaced the roof in a 7th gen coupe. its not that hard, but we took out the front seats to make it easier. you wedge it in at in angle and it will go in. it would be harder with carbon fiber cuz you wouldnt want to flex it.
dont forget to wear cotton gloves when installing cf..then you wont have to wipe off your fingerprints

Rep Power: 0 WOW. Great responses. I see alot of door panel and center console suggestions. That will probably be the first 2 things I do. that headliner would be sweet too. All depends on the prices he gives me for molds. Molds are VERY expensive. For instance, a mold for a hood runs about $1200, so that gives you an idea. Keep the suggestions coming.
