So far the date is the 25th and a few people have said yes to that date so I'm reluctant to change it. Let's presume it's the 25th in Pleasanton.
Just say yes if you'll be coming and what if anything you'll be bringing and/or wanting to install that day.
I'll be there.
Bringing: beer, some food stuff, and an SRI for installing and some (limited) tools.
Edit: Also here's what I know about: clearing headlights (if anyone wants assistance), some stereo stuff, some upholstery stuff (since I did my leather myself), shaving/changing emblems, tweaking throttle cable, a few other light engine things.

If I can get the day off, then I am definately in, and I need to shave the labels on my car and do the lights with your help when I am there, I'll also bring some food of some sort.
Hay....
do you think we can clear my headlights when I come??
If so, I'll try to buy all my front PIAA lights!(hopefully I'll have extra money to get them....!!!)
Oh...what should I bring?? (food, tools, etc...)
hey peeps.. dunno if i'll make it but i will try... where are you guys going to meet? there's a pretty nice large park over by regal cinemas... if you're coming from the east, it's the exit before. is that the santa rita exit? does anyone know where i'm talking about? it's pretty nice... been there once, only at night though... just a suggestion. perhaps i'll try to swing by where-ever you'll be. i'm only like 20 minutes east of there. check ya later....
plus it's right off the freeway and we can all go to another location and take over the freeway... with tons of 2k1 civics... that'd be tight!!!!!
This park sounds good. If you know the name of it I'll post a map.
Definitely try to make it. The more the merrier. Your drive is probably less than mine!
Let's do 1:00. Sound good?
Sorry I haven't psted an exact location. Pleasanton is about 1/2 an hour from me (OK 20 minutes) but I haven't had occasion to go out that way recently. I'l post the exact location here unless a local knows of a prticularly good site.
All Nor Cal folks make the trip. We've got to show these So cal folks who rules.
Hay GirlRacer....
it says your from Sacramento, but you live up there in pleasington?
just thought i'd ask cuz it looks confusing....!
******If anyone from Sacramento wants to go.....let's meet up here first and then we can all go up there cuz I'm not trying to go up there by myself and get lost or something.......!!! *******************
well... i go to school in sacramento at CSUS but i am living at home which is east of pleasanton... i know it's a bit confusing.. sorry.
is there any pleasanton locals around here?? i talked to my friend (who also has a 2k1 civic) and he says that it's the santa rita exit... then, if you're coming from the east, you'd turn right and then turn left at the second or third stop light. then you'll just see the park on your left a little ways down. i'm going to try to go out there sometime this weekend... so i should have EXACT details to follow. we could even just meet there and then go somewhere else from there... just a suggestion... talk to you later peeps....
eX2ooo - you can always just take 5 south to 205 east and get to pleasanton no problem. but i also think you can go around the other way, i don't know which way is faster though. just an FYI... hit me up if you need to know for sure... grl_rcr@yahoo.com
Thanks for looking into this. If it is the Santa Rita Rd exit it is going to be very easy for everyone to find.
GirlRacer, if you get a chance to check it out, see if it looks like they have a place where we could BBQ. Also you might want to try to notice if alcohol is permitted.
Only about a week away now. Should be cool to have a bunch of vics and vic owners together.
UPDATE: Pleasanton Parks and Rec sent me a sheet on all their parks. The woman from P&R recommended a couple with BBQ areas:
Creekside Park, 5665 West Las Positas
Mission Hills Park, 600 Junipero
GirlRacer, it looks like the park you are mentioning might be named Nielsen Park (no BBQ pits) on Stoneridge Rd. or Amaral Park, 3400 Dennis Dr (no BBQ pits). Also, no alcohol allowed in any city parks at all. No big deal.
FYI also, nearby at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on the same day there is a car show (hotrods mostly) if you can't get enough of cars.
Here is the info:
Goodguys 15th West Coast Nationals Revs Up In August
August 24-26 brings 3,500 rods, customs, and classics to the Fairgrounds, including "Cars 4 Sale" Corral, kids' arts and crafts, and more. Parking $5.00.
Ok...I'm going to go up there next weekend but I just now thought about something.....by the time I'll get there....my poor car will be covered in bugs and bug juice....!!!
