oh come on andy, youll get more runs here then you will at a drag stip, and each run last longer, instead of 13-16 seconds you could be on the track for 80. You should at least come out in Jan. Ill let you ride, maybe after that you'll change your mind on autoxing. you know you want too.... To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Oh well, it'll be cool as hell to watch you run. I might consider running but I seem to be having trouble with the new rims that I bought. They don't ride quite right. It's like my car is WAY out of allignment, but it's not because it pulls BOTH ways. Kinda hard to explain, but when I'm accellarating it'll pull more to the right...HARD, sometimes slightly left, but mostly right. When I'm stopping it pulls to the left HARD!!! I mean HARD, like tonight on the way home from work I wanted to see how bad it really was, and there were no cars around so I slowed down approaching a stoplight to about 7 mph and let go of the wheel. In a matter of 20 feet I was TWO LANES OVER!!! it pulled so hard. I'm thinking one of four possible things.

1) The rims are not the correct size/specs for my car.

2) In jacking up the car, I bent something. (Actually my friend began to jack up my car...in the WRONG SPOT!!!)

3) The lugs are not tight enough.

4) In tightening the lugs to the best of my strength, I moved something to put it out of allignment.

I'M SOOOOOOO CONFUSED...not to mention BUMMED OUT!!! I love these rims! I don't want to have to sell them because they are the wrong fit or something!

HELP!!!!!!

You know I'll kick your A$$ don't you?

Maybe some $$$$ would light a fire under your ass to get you to launch from something higher than 2000 rpm's! lol

Hey man, you didn't lower the car, did you? Have the wheel balance and alignment double checked.

Nope, no drop on the car. But the rims are 16" and low pro tires so I guess the overall height of the car dropped about an inch or two. Didn't think that would make any difference though.

it does change the camber on your car, because your tire is definity combo def. probably lowered the stance of your car by at least an inch, when did that it also may have adjusted the toe by just enough to make your car pull in different direction, which makes more since, because you said it goes one direction on acceleration and another when you slow down. I think your toe and caster was adjusted with the smaller wheels

Ok...latest update on the wheel situation.

I went to Performance Wheel and Tire...off of Oxford and Sante Fe...

I was COMPLETELY IMPRESSED for several reasons...

1) As a retail manager I judge stores/companies on their emphasis on customer service and product knowledge. Needless to say, these guys have their SHIT together!!! VERY PROFESSIONAL! I told them the simptoms that I was having and they diagnosed the problem VERY QUICKLY! I was to first have a complete rim check. (Checks the round of the tires to see if they are bent at all, Checks the balance of the tires, Checks the tread wear, and finally a rotation included.) Not a BIG deal, but for $16 I said, what the heck...go for it.

2) After all of the stuff was done, and they let me watch the WHOLE TIME mind you...VERY COOL OF A SHOP TO LET THE CUSTOMER WATCH! Turns out that the rims are in perfect condition, the tread wear shows an alignment problem...from previous owner. And they balanced the tires. He even taught me how to use the machine.

3) They said that the balance was WAY off, apparently whomever balanced the tires originally used weights that were WAY too heavy, and they used them in the wrong places, like behind EVERY SPOKE! He said that he removed about a pound of weights from EACH RIM!!!

4) They said that if the problem persists to get a thourough alignment done, not the cheap Big-O-Tires alignment. They recommended a shop, and gave me the name of the manager of the shop to talk to.

5) After all that, the guy felt sorry for me that I had such bad luck with the rims, he said that it was NO CHARGE!!!

6) As if that wasn't enough, I arrived at the shop @ 5:45 pm, closing time is 6 pm. THEY DID THE WORK ANYWAY!!! I left the shop @ about 6:45 pm.

Have you ever heard of an auto shop doing free work, working late, and also teaching the customer about what they were doing?!?!?!?!?

I HIGHLY reccomend these guys! They are sooooo cool, and you can guarantee that I will be their customer for LIFE!

Any way, while driving with my girl in the seat next to me talking to me, I soon arrived at our dining destination. I got out of the car, stopped, and realized that I was not distracted by the shaking of the steering wheel, the pulling of the tires, nor the annoying need for BOTH hands on the wheel! THEY FELT STOCK SMOOTH!!! I'm SO STOKED NOW. My rims are perfect, and my car rides like a DREAM!

Thanks Performance guys!

The rims were slightly used. My friend's brother had them on his Integra and two months later totaled it. That's why I was so bummed about them not working, I thought my friend tried to screw me with bent rims. But yeah, andy...you are psychic...and Blue...thanks.
