1993 4 Door LX - suspension bushings
Greetings, I just swapped all the bushings on my 350K Civic a few months ago with stock rubber replacements. Now they're squeaking. Can these be lubed without removing them and pressing them back in? Would spraying them liberally with lithium grease spray be a good idea?.
Thanks
Nigel

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 1993 4 Door LX - suspension bushings
Were the rubber bushings neutralized upon installation? Failing to do so can overstress the bushings by keeping them twisted and in a bind.

Do a little checking, make sure that Lithium grease is compatible with rubber and will not cause premature failure due to swelling and rot.(I think it is ok but I'm not positive)
Silicone grease and spray is ok to lube with IMO, as far as I know it will not damage rubber.

Also, 350k and 21 years? You sure the car isn't simply complaining about old age?
