Re: 95 civic ex, passenger side power window problems
Well I have the same problem on my 99 si(EX). I replaced switches, and motor/regulator and ended up with the same problem so someone advised me to apply power directly but nothing happened. Anyway, I applied voltage to one wire and ground to the other and I achieved up and down movement by switching positive/negative connection. So my conclusion is that the problem is with the ground connection and this is supplied by the harness coming into the door. Hope this helps

U mean like the cheap way, lasts 3 months, or the expensive way, lasts forever?
Well in order to know what to fix, first u gotta find what the problem is. The "best way" to find what the prob is typically is to troubleshoot the obvious/easy to swap/inexpensive-$0 items. then if that doesn't work, proceed with the harder stuff.
First thing I'd do is to take out the switch and put an ohmeter on it. No ohmeter? swap it out with another switch that's known to be good.

1. Disconnect window motor connector.
2. Apply positive to one terminal of the motor and negative to the other. I usually use jumper wires and my cordless drill battery.
This will tell you if the if the motor is good or not. Then I would check the switch like jsmithe2010 said.
