What is the best size wheels and tires for 95 civic for best ride and handling and no rub?

My understanding is that you can fit a 17" on there with something like a 205/40 without any rubbing and still have a good look with it taking up a lot of negative space. I've see 18"s in some but there's not much rubber on there for me and it looked a little ghetto. Jmo

16x7 with a +40ish offset, and a 205/45/16 tire. The tire is still thick enough to make the ride comfy enough. And you won't have any rubbing.

i have a 92 civic cx.. i just bought new rims (15x7.5) and i was wondering what size tires i should get so that it has that stretched look.. help me lol
