Engine code question

I just purchased a 95 Civic EX from which the engine was replaced last year by the previous owner. The engine block is stamped H14 and then under it ZC and then the serial number 740xxxx. The valve cover is stamped vtec. Is this a typical 95 civic motor?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

The engine code in this pic is D16Z6
Search your engine code in google and you should find a wikipedia link for a page on that engine series. From there you should find what cars came with that engine code.
