Its just one of the light bulbs that went out. Easiest way is to go to the dealership and ask for a replacement- they stock them all. It will cost you less then $10. With more information on you exact year and trim level of civic, I can give you a better idea of how much or where to order online, but still- your best bet it to go to the dealership.

BTW, welcome to the site.

Re: Help Dashboard light is out!

If only part of the cluster is dark, TRIZ is right. If it's the whole cluster, you have a bad connection or wire in the power or ground wires to the cluster. I would recommend getting a service manual, it will give you step-by-step procedures to diagnose the problrm: http://www.helminc.com/helm/homepage...051&Style=helm

Re: Help Dashboard light is out!

The cluster illumination bulbs shown separate from the sockets are most likely #74 bulbs (mini wedge base) available at any auto parts store.

Or, if your really desperate, go to the salvage yard. They're in every Honda made in the last 20 years.

FYI: They're 1.4v bulbs.

Re: Help Dashboard light is out!

I was peaved when I saw they were still using incandescent bulbs in the HVAC panel of my 2010 FA1 (neo wedge type)

They run very hot, the glass darkens over time and they are prone to failure.

Re: Help Dashboard light is out!

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to say that before going to all the trouble to check wires and bulbs, if all the lights are out on the dash it is more likely to be a fuse has gone bad. The fuse is under the dash on the driver side. It is a 7.5 amp fuse on the top row, 4th from the right.
