My d16y7 is fading away slowly at 300,000 miles so I'm planning on swapping in a f22a1 I have in a parts car. I need to know what I need to get and do for this swap. My lx is a 5 speed and the accord is a auto. Do I have to get a accord manual tranny? What are the parts I need to get? What modifications and fabrications do I need to do? Any help with this would be awesome. Ive did some research and all I see is people saying why not do h22 blah blah. Well it's free and I'm doing it regardless eventually so need help.

Not on a Honda. I'm a welder and fabricator by trade so I have the equipment to get the job done. I just can't find any info on anything about it.

Anyone have any experience or info? Real usable info not just opinions or hear say. If I don't get any help ill most likely just rebuild and put a y8 or z6 head on and turbo it.

If you can't find any info online then it has either not been done before or no one has documented it. I don't know of any currently active members that would have info on that since it is not a standard swap.
With you being a welder and fabricator you would be an excellent candidate to pave the way and make it happen but you may be on your own. You can try contacting big names in the Honda Swap world like Hasport or RyWire.
I know you don't want opinions but check out K swaps and J Swaps along with turbocharging the D like you said. J swap is best bank for the buck IMO.

Thank you for the input. I figured that much by now. Its a unusual swap so no wonder. Ive been looking at a k20z3 swap its still a ivtec but not the price tag of the k20a. Since researching the k series I don't think I still be happy with any of the older engine styles like the b or h. If I go with h it will be the h23a.
