2000 Si with H&R coilover Koni sport struts, ride height not adj. now have new Megan coilovers that are adjustable. How do I set the initial preload on all 4 and should they be set the same?? Son wants ride height higher with a softer ride.

Megan coilovers are not the best thing if he wants it raised and a softer ride. The spring rates on coilovers are higher then lowering springs. The car will be raised but is going to ride rougher.

Set the preload to your liking. You will probably have to put them on the car and see how it rides and then adjust accordingly. The front two should match each other and the rear two should match each other on preload. You can set them so they are all the same also.

are you talking about H & R springs? If so, they are not what is nicknamed "coilovers"

With Koni shocks they must be springs.

If adjustable could be these
