Rear Suspension Creak

Hey
Ive noticed recently that in my 98 hatchback that when I turn left the rear suspension on the right hand side (the outside wheel track) makes a creaking sound... This does not happen all the time, mostley when there is some one sitting in the back on that side or when I take a corner hard... So it only happening under load...Im not sure what this could be Ive had a look under there & there dosent seem to be anything wrong... does anybody have an idea on what it may be...

Thats what I thaught it could be at first. The bushings are the little pieces of rubber/plastic or what ever there made of, but they appear to be in great shape I searched for broken ones on the internet and the look nothing like that of a broken one. Is it worth oiling them or do what ever you do to bushings to lubricate them?

I'm having this same problem on my 96 civic coup, it's made a creak for aleast the last two years and i haven't been able to isolate it. However i looked at the large upper trailing arm bushing has a split in it. I was wondering if anyone know's if they make aftermarket for these or do you have to replace with stock, i've seach around and only found the little rear bushings, Also if anyone done it themselves i wanted to know if they have to be pressed in.
Thanks

Re: Rear Suspension Creak

I checked the upper spring mount and lower spring perch got rid of most of the dust and dirt that got up there.... But 04civic07 you said to make sure the bolts are torqued.... What should these bolts be torqued to I couldn't find anywhere on the site that could tell me what I should torque them to, just generally tight or really tight... Thanks for your help
