Brake Work

I own a 2012 Civic EX and have to replace the rear rotors and pads. I will be keeping the car several years and was thinking about Midas due to the lifetime warranty on the pads. Any other suggestions on where to have brake work done? Trying to avoid dealer as they are about 100.00 more expensive
Thanks
Eric

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Brake Work

A chain store may provide the most expensive cheap brake job you ever got your car held hostage over.

Can you DIY brakes?
I would replace them using brake pads from Honda (my preference for paying customers), along with grinding out the rust that inevitably occurs between the caliper bracket and its shims, and apply a bit of silicone grease to the freshly ground areas.

Are the rotors bad? Why replace rotors if they aren't bad? I machine/resurface them whenever possible, when needed.
