Clean IACV and throttle body then report back with results.

Re: 96 civic idle problem

I tried looking for the IACV but I cant find it, I googled where it located but the pic is different from my engine. I have a intake box on top of my engine and all the pic doesn't have a intake box. any 1 can help me figure out where it located? people say its behind the intake manifold but couldn't find it

Re: 96 civic idle problem

how to remove the engine filter box?
D16Y7?
A wire connector on the sensor, a hose from the valve cover, and a bolt facing the firewall-- 10mm socket

I don't remember if there is a clamp around the throat of the throttle body or not. I know there is on a later car, but it's been a damn long time since I've had one of yours apart.

Re: 96 civic idle problem

The picture I saw showed one bolt facing the back, but I'm not gonna swear that's all there is. There may be at least one on the front too? Get a flashlight and look around.

I think it's only one bolt, and the clamp around the round part on the bottom. Yes there is a clamp like a hose clamp.....might be 8mm socket, might be 10mm
