If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Honda civic 2000 shaking
IF the idle RPM is too low it will shake,..and if it runs poorly it can idle too low and shake, (CEL on? Low power?)
the computer will shut off the AC below about 600 RPM then let it kick on when RPM goes above 600. This cycle will repeat endlessly.
If the IAC is stuck or clogged, this happens.
LX....probably stuck.....Tap on the IAC valve and see if rpm comes up to normal?
Clean throttle body, clean IAB screw passage if equipped?
Reset minimum air rate, relearn base idle?

Re: Honda civic 2000 shaking
Remove the air filter and you can look into the throttle body.
Remove the air filter lower housing to access the throttle body easier.
