96 civic ex overheating like crazy!!!!

Hi everyone, well my 96 civic is overheating and I don't know what to do! I have fix the water pump, time belt, and even install a new radiator becux the old one pop. My car is still overheating. My car is blowing white smoke from what my friend says and the engine ol is like chocolate looking. What should I do?? How can I fix it? And also will a head gasket repair it?

How can I fix this??? I would appreciate the advises!

A way to diagnose your head gasket is to check the coolant level. If you've been filling it up pretty often then that is a good indicator. Is your ECU throwing any codes?

look for oil in your coolant. You might want to drain your coolant and then refill. if you have recently replaced your radiator, then the coolant flush is not necessary.. Just look for oil in your coolant

also, open your radiator cap and let the engine run, but watch the temp gauge, as the car warms up, the coolant in the radiator will start bubbling if the head gasket is bad. It may still be bad and not bubble a lot because is not leaking bad.

That's one way to check for a bad headgasket. You can also do a leakdown test.

I am having the same problem. I have replaced the water pump, radiator, radiator cap, set the timing, and still over heating. I'm out of ideas as to what to do. Did you figure out what was wrong.

I'm Opinion , Sounds like you have a Cracked or Warped head ... I would replace or Have your head checked and or Reservist ... All things you said in your comment points to this ... hope this helps . Sorry about your luck.

also, make sure your PCV valve is not clogged, if it's not working correctly, it can make the car smoke like crazy and loss of power
