Rep Power: 0 Getting a 1999 Honda Civic, tune up, etc.
I am getting a 1999 Honda Civic this weekend and want to do a tune up. I am planning on replacing spark plugs (NGK or Denso), plug wires, ignition coil, oil and filter, air filter (not seeing any real gains that would warrant a CAI, please correct me if I am wrong), window tint, and possibly the coolant if it needs it. I'll replace the exhaust system later on, but am open for suggestions.
Only problem that the Civic has is you have to let up on the accelerator to let it change gears, hoping that is just the TPS, but I am willing to throw a tranny in it if I need to.
Coming from a Ford Taurus that was cursed and had problem after problem, so I am looking forward to a car that is easy to work on if I need to.
What are some other things I should do to it, am I missing anything for a good tune up?
