rear wheel bearing...

Hi,
Not sure which one is making the noise yet, but looking at replacing seems it may be better to get the rear wheel hub as opposed to bearing and seal? About 23 on ebay for whole assembly...
Anyone know how much bearing and seals are?? Seems the hub would be easier faster and more efficient...
your thoughts please.

Re: rear wheel bearing...

Are you sure it's wheel bearings making noise?
Have you've gotten a professional opinion yet?

It may just be your tire noise.
I used to have noise which sounded like wheel bearing, louder when I drove faster.
But I rotated my rear wheels to the front, and the front began making noise.
That's when I knew for sure it was my tires.

Swapped out the tires and rims, and never had the problem since.

Re: rear wheel bearing...

I tried the "yard"...couldn't get them for less than 20 each, even after telling them I could get it for 23 delivered to my door new.
I was thinking 5 each, cause I'm guessing they go to the crusher with them on...oh well
