Rep Power: 0 Weird sound on cold mornings after timing belt change
My car is a '99 LX 4-door with 99K miles. I had the timing belt done by the honda dealer a couple months ago back in August. It was fine up until now that the colder weather is settling in. When I start the car on a cold morning or after sitting at work all day, it makes a weird noise like a muffled grinding sound or almost like a suction sound of a cold air intake. (I don't have a cold air intake). It lasts for a few minutes then goes away once the car is warmed up. Seems to be coming from the area around the belts. Anyone else ever experience something like this after a timing belt job? I also thought maybe the tension needs adjusted or something. I am going to make an appointment with the dealer sometime next week hopefully.

I am having the exact same problem with my 98 ex. I would love to know what the dealer says about it. I thought about tearing her apart again but I may wait.
