96-00 Replacement Hood Release Pull

Hey guys, as many of you know the plastic release pull in the 96-00 civics tend to snap off. This is what I've come up with.

Leave me some comments and let me know what you think.

If you want to buy one check out my thread in the for sale section.

Re: 96-00 Replacement Hood Release Pull

it looks like a good idea. i dont think it would work on the 7thgens tho since the release has a bracket bolted to the car frame so you can pull it. how exactly do you install this?

Re: 96-00 Replacement Hood Release Pull

It's meant for the 6th gens which is the 1996-2000 civics since the 7th gens are 2001-2005. They have a different way to release the hood.

As for install you cut off the remaining plastic left on the small metal rod where the plastic used to be. And this slides over top and tightens on with a small screw.
