Rep Power: 0 Focal Access 130's
I just had Focal Access 130's components put into my doors of my 2k1 Civic DX Sedan. They sound sweet!!.
The dealer that installed by told me I should put some chant material on the inside of the door behind the mid speaker. Does anyone know if this material be worth the extra $$ to have added?
Thanks,
Fr0stByte

Rep Power: 0 ya I've got the Focal 165v's and their sweet too. The chant material or dynamat is a nice touch for some extra sound quality. I recommend the dynamat extreme backing for just the speakers. It costs around $20-30 and is well worth it. (there are two pieces that are shaped like a cup and go behind the magnet of the speaker) There are packages for the entire door, but too me it's overkill and makes you doors heavier.

Rep Power: 0 I got the Focal 165K's, I put Raamat all over the door and behind the speaker. It makes a huge difference in reducing road noise and reducing rattling in the doors. Raamat is just as effective as Dynamat Extreme and much much cheaper. $99 for roll, 62.5 sq ft.
