custom speaker install in sedan rear doors

i know i saw this thread floating around somewhere but i cant find it.

ok. i want to do a custom speaker install in my rear doors. and leave the holes open where the rear speakers are for ports.
i wanna do it myself. is it going to be too hard to do? what kind of materials and size speakers should i buy?

Okay..what do you mean by Custom...like cutting the door apart and building door pods..?...Leaving out the rear speakers is always a good idea unless your running 5.1 surround sound . Give us a better idea of what yer plannin?..

It's possible but it will look sloppy and definately won't be an improvement in sound.....also if you lack fundage..don't bother..it'll cost a fair bit in tools.. fiberglass..paints..
