Going to DIY my speakers..... What do I need?

I picked up a pair of Pioneer TS-A6975 for the rear and TS-G1645 for the front (my first ebay purchase!!). I want to do the install this weekend. I read a few threads saying that I would have to use spacers for all the speakers. Is this true for ALL speakers, or just certain models? Also, do I need to buy wire connectors for the speaker wire (spade connectors)? How are the stock wires connected to the stock speakers? Can you think of any other "little" things I may need to pick up before I start so that I don't have to go store once I start?

Ok, so I'm looking through the DIYs....

Can I use the sedan rear speaker removal for my coupe? I was going to use a DIY I saw on Ghosty's site (at least I think it was on his site) but it's down right now and I don't know when it's going to be back up (and I want to do it this weekend). Are there any other threads that may have a DIY for the rear speakers? I'm sure I can figure out how to install the speakers, but I guess the challenge is removing the rear deck. DIY for that perhaps?

The DIY for the front speakers refer to a panel popper. What is it, and do I need one? Won't a flat-head screwdriver be enough?

DIY rear deck is on ghosty's site.

1. remove the bolts behind the folding rear seats, and take them out
2. there's 2 plastic plates on the back pillars, pop those open and unbolt, then pop out the pillars
3. remove the front seatbelts
4. there's a small tab inside both rear quarter panels with a screw behind it, remove those
5. pop out the rear quarter panels
6. now you can get to the deck

that's all i can remember, but that's the general outline

the quarter panels dont need to come out for the back, you just have to manuver around it.

if you insist on removing them, you will need to also take off teh seatbelts, the rear seats, and there is a screw above the "oh s h i t" handles, dont forget that.

You however, probably wont need spacers for the rear speakers. if you do, it will be for a clearance problem.

probably will for fronts. spacers are easy to make, you can cut MDF or paticle board or anything you want to make a small ring. bolt teh MDF to teh frame of the car (or glue, its all good, just make sure its solid) then screw the speaker to teh mdf. your done!
