Keyless entry inop

Gents,

I have my drivers door interior panel removed for replacement of the window regulator. While I have it open I thought I'd do what ever I need to do to fix my keyless entry and auto door locks. Both the keyless entry function and the interior lock switch haven't worked for years. The only functionality I get from anything concerning these two related systems is the lights/horn action from the keyfob "lock" button....yet nothing locks. Any pointers before I go on a wild goose chase?

Thanks in advance!

If that's the culprit would it also affect the actuator on the passenger side? I read about a member who had a bad actuator on the driver's side, but the passenger side still worked. Thoughts?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

You can use a voltmeter or test light to see if the power lock actuator is getting triggered with power and ground before just replacing parts.
