Sonar Projectors

Alright, so I bought a pair of Sonar Projector headlights like these:

for my 2002 Honda Civic Si-G Veloz.

These lights also came with a HID kit. When I went to install the HID kit the instructions told me to drill a 25mm hole in the rubber boot/dust seal using a hole saw. This would be in the rubber boot/dust seal which is on this new headlight unit which I just purchased. At first I wasn't too sure about this working, thinking that the hole saw is probably just going to tear the rubber boot to shreds. But, not being able to think of any other way to make a perfect 25mm circle in the boot I tried it.

To make a long story short, the hole saw ended up pretty much shredding the rubber boot. It isn't AS bad as I had imagined, however, it is to the point where it is not doing what it was designed for...So now I am wondering two things:

1) Where can I purchase a replacement rubber boot/dust seal, and

2) How did everyone else cut this 25mm hole in the rubber boot?

All help greatly appreciated as I am lost as to what to do next!

p.s. to the mods, if this is in the wrong section, please fix for me! and sorry in advance

Re: Sonar Projectors

whats the diameter of the boot? i have a pair of extra tyc projector boots you can have for $5 shipped to cover packing and shipping costs. the diameter is around 2.5 inch. usually most guys just use scissors to cut the hole in the middle.

Re: Sonar Projectors

i wouldn't bother using the no name HIDs that came with the kit there just going to give you problems especially the ballast not to mention the possibility of them burning the plastic projector lens . i would also run some silicone around the edges were it seals together so it doesn't fog up before you install them.
