I have followed the DIY on the site and have got to the last step of getting the factory radio out. I have unscrewed the 2 screws on the bar underneath the dash. I have been trying to push the radio out via behind the bar with the 2 screws. I have been trying for about an hour with no success. I don't want to get a flat head screwdriver and trying to pry it out because i dont want to ruin the dash. Can anybody help? I have a 05 civic lx.

start from the bottom and try to use a piece of hard plastic .. they make special dash tools for prying if you want to go to the extreme.. Its not hard .. pry one areas close together with two tools and it will come out.. be careful not to loose the metal clips.. I always fucking lose at least one every time I pull my dash out..
i can easily pull mine out from the front either sticking my hands in the vents or the lower pocket. there are alot of clips all along the edges so it requires alot of energy to pull.

PM me if you know companies that are hiring.
pull harder, it takes a lot of strength especially if its the first time that thing is coming out. use a flathead and a towel and wedge it between the dash and the headunit. you wont damage anything if your careful. work the screwdriver around the entire thing to pull all the clips out. then it should come out fairly easily.
Get up underneath and use the silver metal frame to push out, work the bottom out first and grab it with finger tips. As mentioned these are very tight the 1st time out (then you loose some clips and it gets easier each time after)
Honda's plastic is like hot butter, use caution when prying.
You need to remove the whol entire dash as once piece this includes: the vents the radio the knobs and everything that is all once big piece. The pry tools I talked about earlier are basically plastic prying tools that are supposebly used by professionals when they remove dashes.
Don't buy anything, this is easy. There are 2 bars under the radio, which one are you pulling on? One is part of the dash and won't move, the other is connected to the radio part. The one farther back is the one you want, pull towards you on that but it'll only come a little before you are also pulling on the dash bar. At this point you got to work in around the radio piece to get it out from the front.
What you could also do is stick your hand in the DIN pocket under the radio and pull towards you on that, that should help.
