Where is the power?

Hey everybody, heads up on all the information!
Used this site for ages, can't seem to find this answer though through searching, so i decided to register say thanks and ask for help!

Basically i've got a 54 reg honda civic, Sony xplod head unit, i've tried to wire an amp. I bought a fusion wiring kit, 4 gauge 60amp. the amp ive got is a pioneer 760watt.

Ive run a cable from the battery to the boot with a fuse attached by the battery part. just to check its working first, i grounded it to a nut i found in the back, and a remote cale from the xplod unit marked as remote cable max 0.3 amps.

There's also a ATT wire there.. just as a note..

But after doing so, there's no light on my amp turning on? when i bought it, working fine as the guy showed me. He's confused himself..

Ill take some pictures later showing from front to back, but please any ideas on why it's not working please give me a helping hand!

Re: Where is the power?

Try using a small piece of speaker wire and jump the remote on the amp. Meaning you attach one end to where the power wire connects to the amp and the other whereyou connect the remote wire. May not be getting a strong enough signal on the remote wire from the head unit.

Re: Where is the power?

Umm, not enough info. Does your deck do the same thing? if so your deck is wired wrong. if not your amp is wired wrong. if you just bridged the main power connection with a small wire then it will always stay on, as it does not know when the car is on or off it just knows its constantly getting power. It's either that or you have it hooked up to the wrong wire on the back of the deck??

More info and you shall get a solution to your minor problem!!! On the bright side the amp is fine!
